‘Prep Starts Now’ campaign helps hospitality venues reopen

‘Prep Starts Now’ campaign helps hospitality venues reopen

On Monday 12th April 2021, pub gardens in England reopened.  Demand among the general public was remarkable.  Data analysis from hospitality software business, Stampede, shows that English pubs welcomed almost as many customers as they did when reopening after the first lockdown between 4th and 10th July 2020.

    Google ‘pub’ and ‘drinks’ searches

More people in the UK Googled ‘pub garden’, ‘pub table’, ‘pub booking’ and ‘drinks outside’ than in any time in history!  With venues operating at severely reduced capacity, people desperately scrambled to find free outdoor tables.

The research covered a sample of 400 pubs between 12th-18th April 2021.  The findings showed that venues were operating at nearly 80% of the volume of customers seen when pubs first reopened.

Prep Starts Now campaign for hospitality

Stampede is part of Prep Starts Now.  This is a campaign to help hospitality venues reopen and recover quickly.  Stampede CEO and Founder, Patrick Clover, said: “People feel more confident about going to the pub than they did during reopening last year.”  With venues reopening indoors, he expects to see trade levels booming, “far surpassing the numbers we saw in July 2020“, he adds.

Prep Starts Now gives hospitality businesses access to many of the digital tools, advice and guidance they need to reopen successfully during each post-lockdown stage.  Also, partners offer free use of their services or significant discounts.

The services available will help businesses:-

    • create online menus
    • launch click & collect services
    • add takeaway
    • have loyalty programmes
    • create engaging digital marketing content

The campaign also provides support on difficult reopening issues like hospitality recruitment and health and safety.

    Endorsements

Several leading industry figures have given Prep Starts Now their ringing endorsement.  These include Stephen Brown, Director of digital marketing agency, Big Flavour.  “After a difficult last 12 months, we know that the industry, now more than ever, needs help to ensure it’s in the best possible position to be successful. That’s why we were delighted to be a part of the Prep Starts Now campaign, to use all of our experience to help businesses get ready for the future by working together with them and this fantastic collection of companies.
